A NEW FRONTIER OF POLICE ACTIVITY. PRINCIPLES OF USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BY THE NATIONAL POLICE OF UKRAINE. INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Abstract

This scientific study highlights some of the most promising current and potential areas of application of artificial intelligence in the National Police of Ukraine. The article reveals the problems of the modern approach to the delegation of the work process in law enforcement agencies, considers and proposes several directions for the use of artificial intelligence in the work of the National Police of Ukraine. New directions for improving the work of the police, such as photo and video analysis, regulation of information from body cameras of police officers, assistance of artificial intelligence in investigations, integration of databases of various structural units and other executive authorities, are highlighted. Prospective directions for the use of technology based on artificial intelligence are revealed, namely, the collection and analysis of new sources of evidence, the processing of new information, the integration of databases based on the example of international experience. A small percentage of citizens of our country today correctly understand the work of artificial intelligence, its purpose, in which areas it can be used and whether artificial intelligence will make mistakes. Ukraine, as a state experiencing aggression and war from the Russian Federation, understands the importance of adequate use of auxiliary defense forces in the form of artificial intelligence. The article pays attention to the international experience of using artificial intelligence by law enforcement agencies in Belgium and the USA. Integration of data on the use of artificial intelligence and its implementation in various spheres of activity of the National Police of Ukraine. Highlighting some significant areas of work of artificial intelligence makes it possible to draw conclusions about its useful role in the service of law enforcement agencies. Suggested ways of improving some aspects of the work of the National Police of Ukraine using the principles of artificial intelligence.
