Abstract

Digital and information technologies play a key role in modern medicine, opening up new opportunities for improving the quality and availability of medical services. In the conditions of prolonged armed Russian aggression in Ukraine, these technologies not only contribute to the effectiveness of medical care, but also provide access to necessary services for the population in the combat zone and in the de-occupied territories. Further development and implementation of such technologies is critically important for adapting the health care system to modern challenges and needs of society. The purpose of the article is to study the managerial aspects of the development of the digital component of modern Ukrainian medicine. The author highlights the peculiarities of work and the difficulties of implementing digital platforms that are already working in Ukraine, such as: the Internet of Things, remote health monitoring, online medicine, chatbots, virtual and alternative reality technologies. In the near future, these technologies will help test different options of existing treatment protocols and predict the possible consequences of using certain treatment regimens. Such digital platforms can gradually replace some stages of applied research and greatly simplify the work of doctors. The article concludes that in the next ten years, the Ukrainian medical industry will face a challenge related to the massive involvement of digital technologies in the work of medical institutions, which will cause a fundamental transformation of the entire sphere of health care. This will require significant investments from the state and society in new technologies, infrastructure, training and retraining of personnel, as well as radical changes in the system of training medical personnel, in particular, the development of competencies for the introduction of digital technologies into clinical practice. Although digital technologies will not be able to completely replace the physical presence of a doctor, however, they are able to significantly improve the quality of medical care, make medicine more client-oriented and effective.
