Abstract

This article is devoted to the justification of the requirement for the compliance of the head of the public management system with the social identity, which appears as a mechanism for achieving his success. The analysis of the theoretical, methodological and practical work of foreign and modern Ukrainian scientists served as the basis for the study of the outlined problem. It is noted that the current social transformations and challenges, intensified by aggression from the Russian Federation, have added dynamism to psychological processes that fundamentally affect a person's perception, understanding and awareness of social and political reality, motivating his behavior in any sphere of activity, in particular, public management Therefore, for officials of state authorities and local self-governments, a great responsibility becomes a reality, since the defense, economic, social, humanitarian and revitalization achievements of Ukraine depend on them to a large extent. Societal identity is characterized by the indivisibility and heredity of the social and psychological, where the social component indicates the relationship with social systems, and the psychological one – leads to the conscious and collective unconscious – a pair of opposites, which complementarily determines the expediency of using the archetypal approach. Correspondence to societal identity is characterized by the following psychosocial properties: introversion, pragmatism, rationality, sensitivity, internality, intentionality, which creates a basis for high-quality public management activity. The author presents the dynamics of societal changes in Ukraine in 2023, conducted by the Ukrainian Institute of Sociological Research and the Ukrainian School of Archetypes. Thus, of the six properties characterized above, the progressive progress caused by the war is observed in the acquisition of rationality and sensory. So, social changes and challenges, which intensified in the conditions of a full-scale war, actualized the possibilities of social identity, which is determined by the author by the mechanism of success of the leader in the system of public administration. The above psychosocial properties of social identity and their characteristics are correlated with archetypes of responsibility, priority of intangible values, high level of professional competence and rationality.
